Auf der neu eröffneten Englischen Abteilung von World of Gothic wurde ein Grußwort von PB veröffentlicht.

We hope that this English version of the former German-only Gothic fan page "World of Gothic" is useful for gothic fans all over the world. Furthermore we hope that this page will attract a lot of new fans for the marvellous games of Piranha Byte.

And for the opening of this page we have received greetings from Piranha Bytes itself:

"Dear WorldOfGothic, :o)

Back then, in 1999, when the 'world of Gothic' we had created was nothing but a large plain room for collision tests (at least, it had a swimming pool), there was already a 'World of Gothic' on the web. It was the very first 'Gothic' fansite in the world, and for us Piranhas, it was a great honor to see you guys showing so much dedication and trust in a project that was still in a very early stage of development. And, realizing there was actually someone interested in our work had an incredibly motivating effect on the entire team.

While we were developing the first Gothic, WorldOfGothic was at the same time developing a meeting point for our community. Being an absolute newcomer, we didn't know yet about the importance of a forum for the players, but you made up for that without ever wanting anything in return. No need to mention that to this day, we're deeply grateful for that.

Now, Piranha Bytes can look back on six years of existance and two finished games plus an AddOn. We went though all the ups and downs, and you, WOG, never left our side. That makes you a part of the team in a very special way.

Gothic III is shaping up quite nicely, and together with you, we're already planning some great events and campaigns for the Gothic III community. I'm confident we'll manage to keep up the excellent cooperation forever, as I for my part will never forget your support and loyalty.

With all my heart, I wish you all the best. May 'www.worldofgothic.com' be the next chapter in your success story.

Kai Rosenkranz"

Welcome and enjoy your visit.
