My guess is that in the story theire will be a part where the objectives of good & evil cross paths with you and the DK in the middle of it. It's just that the hero and dk have a common goals for now (to escape the citadel) but I think that the rising battle between. I can see it now: When the hero learns of the plans of isode with the dammed one(or whatever her name is) he will try and stop her the DK on the other hand will not allow this. but thats just my take.
