I tried the demo here at work. This machine is a 2.2Ghz P4 with 784 MB ram and a GeForce 4 Ti4600.

The demo for some seems to run abnormally slow. I have to use 800x600 to keep it from running noticably choppy. This also happens to slow down all the animations as well, I feel like I'm running in slo-mo.

I admit the problem might be connected to the fact that I have multiple monitors, using nView and multiple desktops as well. I disabled the second monitor, and it sped up, but it's still pretty damn slow in 1024x768.

I read posts about people playing in 1600x1200 without problems, and I would hope this machine could do that as well.

Anyone else have these problems? I can't wait to get home, then I can REALLY play this thing! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Well the game runs a bit slow here too, but then again, I've only got a pentium 3-733Mhz, 384mb RAM and a GeForce4Ti4200...

Although, I'm a bit dissapointed, I thought I should be able to run it smoothly, with the game being partially 2D and all...

I'm getting myself a new computer soon anyway, so it doesn't really matter...

Wow... seems that it's a really rare issue then. I won't worry about it too much here at work, but if it's running slow on my home machine, then I'll be more "aggressive" in trying to figure out what's wrong.

Nah, not that rare I think. My game is horribly slow too, like slo-mo all the time. Highly annoying and basically unplayable after a while. Granted, I have an old system, but DD used to run smoothly on it, and you have a pretty nice system, so it's probably not that.

Yeah, I'm having the same problem, and I don't think it's my hardware...

I'm running:
Athlon 64 3200
1 GB Ram
Radeon 9800XT
Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS
Windows XP

I really wish I knew what the problem was so I can play this...

Ashock => BD require a better system than DD because of the 3D models

I've seen some major issues with ATI 98xx and AA in some games. Disable the FSAA and you will probably be able to play smooth as silk.

Probably a stupid question:
Do you have your latest drivers?

Ran smooth, no slowdown at any spots.

I'm sure you're right, and if others with newer systems did not experience identical problems I'd not even say anything. However, from what I read, their problems and mine are the same, so logic dictates that it's probably not the hardware.
