Thank you for the welcome!

Though I must say, if you count the attributes for just the beginning melee skills of the demo, you have 75+ "skills" right off the bat...

I must say that my initial impressions of the skill system suggest that it is genius in a method beyond that of Diablo II's system: You can improve skills or invest in new ones, however, you can recycle skill points and you can customize attributes of your skills in the way that YOU want to!

I sincerely hope, however, that the developers have put enough skills in the game so that the 22 skill box limit (those 22 boxes at the top of the skill page) actually comes into play. I enjoy having to make customization decisions such as, "do I need this passive skill, or should I recycle it to make room for this one?" "Can I get away with one spell with all four elemental damages, or should I make four more potent versions of single elemental spells to save on mana?"

My only big complaint about the original game was that every character that you create, regardless of initial bearing, turned out nearly similar to every other character in terms of skills. In <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beyond.gif" alt="" /> I hope that pure-classes are just as viable as the mutli-class combinations (of course this is not a class based game; I am refering to Magic and Melee disciplines).
