It's a hack&slash game using the same engine as Dark Alliance. I think it's one of the former BIS guy who's leading this project though. In the game you play as a bard who's not there for fame and fun, he goes on dangerous adventures for money and girls Doesnt seem to offer the coop play DA had though.

Cheers,
Frank

Read the review on it. It looks like an interesting game. But, not much information about character creation and gameplay is released yet. I suppose we'll have to wait for more reviews/previews on it when it gets closer to its release date.

I vaguely remember playing the original all those years ago. Im curious to see what it has evolved into. Might be something to add to my christmas wish list.

I know what you mean janggut, I hate sliding about the place. If it is FPP I hope its the old step mode with the arrow keys, like the old CRPGs, I think the Might and Magics used it. I tried playing Arx Fatalis and kept over running my step and spinning when I tried to slug the vermin. Made me feel like my character was stoned or something. I know many people feel nauseaus when playing (or even watching someone else play) and its a bit like motion sickness. Anyway I gave up Arx Fatalis as a bad joke becaues of the movement. Frustration and motion sickness does not make for a good gaming experience.

The point of view should be top-down (Think Diablo, but 3D)

Yeah, the Playstation 2 screenshots look top down, seems like all the latest CRPG's are following this trend ie: Sacred, Neverwinters Nights and
