I am sure the game itself is fine however

it's not that bad, but just not great. However, i'm just glad it IS voiced.

Am I the only one who likes the voice acting of the death knight?
I'm really curious how it will sound in german (if there will be german voice acting at all!).

I wonder whether or not the sound quality has been lowered for the Demo, to make the download smaller.

The Death Knight voice is great because it's not the cliched type of voice you would expect from a dark character. I think it would be pretty lame to have him sound like Mallak of KOTR or darth vader, ect.

have people noticed how many threads there are about the voice acting??
well when there's need ofr voice acting just ask me to do it <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />.....on the other hand no....never mind...cause i'm evil, i'm an evil fish with an iq of 3000 ( spy dogs )..and now on a serious note....there's aloota games with bad voice acting...and in BD is not that bad..i have heard alot worse..

I don't like his voice acting either. Mind you, I don't mind his voice. It's the acting I'm talking about. There doesn't seem to be any <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />.
Sorry, but in my eyes (make that ears <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> ) this guy has seriously failed his audition.

Haven't gotten that far in the game yet, but what I've heard from the other actors didn't impress me either. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/down.gif" alt="" />

I am a tough jury when it comes to acting performances though, and in my opinion, the acting in most games is horrible as well. So no doubt this game, like many others, will sell. But not thanks to the voice acting I'm afraid.

Diablo 2 had excellent voice acting. But then again, Diablo 2 had a way bigger budget...

And there the actors had only to do a few lines, there's only around 20 NPC's in Diablo 2 where you can talk to. I Beyond Divinity are all lines spoken and how knows how many NPC's there are in BD and much more lines.

Mind you, i am not sure if ytou can use this as an aqument...
DD had good voices IMO.

I guess the budget matters, to some extent. It always does eh.

I've already posted in similar threads that I hate the voice acting, but I read the other day that Lar thinks it's cool!! Time and reviewers will tell!!

A few minutes ago (not much <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> ) really looked into the Demo.

- I agree the DK's voice is non-clich�.

- If the DK was female ... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/think.gif" alt="" /> well, I think we'll need an voice actress, then. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

- To be truly honest, my first imprerssion was : "Oh, nice ; C-3PO is back again ! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/delight.gif" alt="" />

come to think of it....shouldn't there be an option at the character creation..
for the gender of the DK...I don't like 2 dudes...but i want to play a dude character 2...meaning the DK must be female then....then i would go roaming around with a bored dry female DK behind me....

I wince a little at the idea of a female DK. It'd certainly change things.

I don't have any problem with the DK's voice, though, oddly enough. As I said elsewhere, it reminds me of HK-47's voice -- dry and matter-of-fact, unapologetical in his evil. (Although HK's voice is still light-years again, but there you go.)

What I have problem is, well, basically everyone else's voices. Some of them are downright traumatizing, like the imp's in Fergus' room and the digging ghost's.

I must say after playing the demo a coupple of times again. Is started to like / get used to the voice of the DK. So for me no change is nessesairy. Just was A big suprise when I heard it the first time.

Also the imps they seem to be under some kind of spell the way they talk. If so then theire's no problem. I just hope the "normal" imps in <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beyond.gif" alt="" /> talk like the once in imprunner.
