I wince a little at the idea of a female DK. It'd certainly change things.
I don't have any problem with the DK's voice, though, oddly enough. As I said elsewhere, it reminds me of HK-47's voice -- dry and matter-of-fact, unapologetical in his evil. (Although HK's voice is still light-years again, but there you go.)
What I have problem is, well, basically everyone else's voices. Some of them are downright traumatizing, like the imp's in Fergus' room and the digging ghost's.
