I love the game, but there still a lot of work to be done:
-Battleing happens soooo sloooow!
-Bashing barrels happens so slooow...
-Option menu getting in my way when using inventory, diary...
... that's all I can think off right now.

Btw, I'm having difficulties defeating Fergus, can anybody help me out here?

hmm. try to use your potions you pick up. both characters can use potions.

try to have dk with powerful weapon attack first, then the other guy. when the DK starts to get hurt, drink a potion, when you run out of potions, send dk away and let your main guy follow furgess to kill him.

kill all of the enemies + rats first.

1st time I didn't kill any rats and got defeated fergus pretty easily
2nd time I killed the rats first and won pretty easily

It might just be the difference you need.
Also don't bother about the imp just have your Hero + DK have a go at fergus at the same time.

Guys, PLEASE, before you complain on the speed of combat, augment your speed and agility.

The barrel bashing is strange though: you bash the barrel and in a second it falls appart :P

I dont mind the delay in the smashing of barrels... infact for me there is only a 1 second delay, if that.

I'd rather have them work on the combat.

Ah yeah: I noticed something:
When I started playing again, I went down to the tunnel and fought the skeleton. I noticed the combat was MUCH faster.
So I restarted the game under 800x600: it went REALLY faster.
It was a slowdown, then. The game works better on 800x600 (easier clicking and such) but then, it's an awfully low res.

Try it at 800x600 first... if you get no slowdown, try a higher resolution.

I'll be trying 1280x900 next.

I like the combats in Beyond Divinity, they are more tactically. If you find these combats already too slow don't play Baldur's gate I and II.
