Ok, here is my main question to you all. If you haven't ever played Divinity (full or demo), would you have gotten a good impression of the Beyond Divinity Demo?

I personally feel that the demo didn't reflect the complete potential of the full game. Ok, granted, surprises are always fun, but if you don't show the public what you've got in the demo, the full might seem less interesting.

I'm simply worried for Larian. They are the second Belgian games company to make a great game. Anyone remember Outcast? That was a great Belgian game too, but while creating the sequal, the company went bust, and I haven't heard of them since. I don't want that to happen to Larian... Not over a silly little demo anyway. Does that sound so crazy?

Well, I think that Beyond Divinity reflects better the Divinity-style games. MANY people didn't bother with DD because in the demo, the dungeon was WAY too long. I think that was one of the reasons DD didn't sell as well.

Outcast was made by a belgian company?!
Was the great software-based engine I ever saw. Amazing Action-Adventure, though the story begun like Stargate.
