Well I've talked to a number of friends who don't visit the board but love Divinity. Their main problem with the game oddly enough has been the skill/spell system, and I now realize they have a good point. Early on, you have to choose what to spend your skill points on, before you've really even seen more than 2 weapons. Warrior for example. How do you know if you want to use a 1 handed or 2 handed weapon that early in the game?

To quote one of my friends:
"yeah, having to choose weapons to specialize in sucks" "it reduces the wisdom of the game later on when you can't use such and such wise weapon you just found cause you spent all your points on some other type of weapon"

I consider this to be a very good feature actually. Because you have to choose that early, you take on a Role, you become a specific type of character. It's RPG, right? Some of these early desicions can seem to have been totally wrong, when you reach another area in the game. But that's a strong point, that's why I like cRPG's so much: you don't just have to shoot or fight with whatever weapon you can get your hands on. It's about taking on a role, and be inventive when you find yourself in a situation that you haven't prepared for.

And now there's two chars! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" />

How will I laugh tomorrow, when I can't even smile today...
