anyway, about linearity, it has been said (please refer to IGN's Peek of the Weeks) that Act 1 is linear while other Acts (2,3,4) will be random in nature.

plus, there are many skills in DD that aren't offensive (meaning kill kill kill) but to help in unfavourable situations (telekinesis for one). same thing for <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beyond.gif" alt="" /> & i'm happy that u compare diablo2 with <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beyond.gif" alt="" /> demo as that demo is only a drop in the ocean of the full version & compared to diablo2 the full version. heck yeah, both hack & slash aspects can be compared (i prefer BD as it's more thoughtful than twitch-based & i love PAUSE).

anyway, just to let u know <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/beyond.gif" alt="" /> is made for the fans of <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> primarily. most of the stuff in there contain our (forum members) wants & needs which we talked of in the forum.
