I've only played about a half hour of each demo, as I can only play on a friends PC and am currently awaiting the release of DD on the mac while you all are awaiting BD. That said, I don't really see the BD demo being worse than the DD one. If anything, the two player style and immediate jump into the action was more interesting for me. I like being able to have the Death Knight tank while my main character pelts arrows from behind. I can see what people are saying about the deathknights voice, it sounds more like some annoying executive than a being of pure evil, though that's kinda amusing. It doesn't matter too much to me though becuase I usually turn off the audio for spoken coversations in most RPG's and just read the text (exception to the rule was deus ex).
