Hey all,

After joining the thieves guild, the leader of said establishment seems to be under the impression that I haven't unlocked the door in the celler - am I missing something or is this something dodgy code wise ?

yes, he will always have that dialouge optinon, it doesn't effect the game though, so dont worry. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />

The latest patch fixes that, I believe, though maybe just in new games.

yes, only in the new games do those fixed start working, IIRC.

If there is no speech option with Marcus to pay, then you can only join by helping Maria. I think that is the only way to buy the house, anyway.

you can pay him in version 1.34 or so Kiya said, and I trust she knows alot about it. I never checked it out myself though.

I killed thieves. All thieves then attacked me on sight. Townspeople became hostile. Some elf kid fired arrows at me. BUT the leader of said thieves guild never treated me any differently. I guess he is out of touch.

lol. i got all except the main people to hate me.

hey, in BD, you should make it possible to ruin the game, like the life, by actually killing main people, maybe even annoy the DK so much he goes hostile? nah, DK would be too mcuh. like in Jedi Knight, make JAN hostile.

I'd applied the patch but it made no difference, so it looks like I'd need to start a new game for it to work. No worries if it has no effect on the game - I thought I might have been missing out on dialogue options for the dagger that was stolen (in relation to the sorceress who will only teach you if you bring her the three options).
