i cant get a decent grahics card because my pc has no agp socket (i think thats the name) so i havce to use a pci graphics card the best of which i could find was the lower end 32 mb tnt2. to be honest i think its the new engine which is causing the problems with the 3d chars which on 600X480 look far far worse than the 2d sprites from <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" /> which i really liked <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif" alt="" />
