I only played through the demos twice, so my memories are still hazy, so correct me where I am wrong!

Edmund's Quest
One of the guard towards the southern area of the prison will drop two keys when slain. Now go to the cell in the middle of the prison and you will be attacked by a ghost. Use crushing weapon against it (there's one club lying near the beginning of the game. Use ALT to see it. One guard shall drop it). Don't use magic agaisnt it.

After killing (killing...?) the ghost, read the note and go to the lower left-hand cornere cell. There's a blanket there. Click on it to reveal a tunnel leading down. Note: reading Edmund's note is optional. The ghost is just there for the much needed experience points.

Talking skull
After climbing up the rope, there's a room filled with meats. On a table is a talking skull. Click on it for a quest. After completing the quest, return and speak to the skull again for a reward.

Shrine of the Damned One
Click on the protrait within Fergus' room. This will open a hidden door to the south which lead one mana shrine, one health shrine and a wine casket. Inside lies a permanent survival potion.

Lever Puzzle
The solution is in the note on the writing desk. After releasing the door, pull the lever close by the entrance to disable a trap.

Thirsty Prisoner
Get 2 bottles of water from the kitchen (where the Impish cook is) for the prisoner to unlock Survivor -> Trap Detection skill-path.

The guy about the water quest, also mumbles about monsters. When you are just outside the arena, you can find an iron bar underneath the table. Use that to block the wheel inside that arena.

Well, you didn't finish that one really, although the answer for the Edmund quest is pretty far-fetched.

Once you're in the cell, you have to click on the cracked wall to break it down, so you can go down and talk to Edmund. Make sure you tell him he's dead.

Now all you have to do is prove that he's dead. Walk back up, and go to the cell on the right side of Edmunds's cell. Walk around a bit in that cell, until your deathknight comments on how much he hates rats. Kill the rats, pick up the bone they drop, and go back to Edmund. Now all you have to do is show Edmund the bone, and he'll die conciously.

NOTE: If you convince Edmund he's dead, you can't talk to him anymore. Make sure you learn everything he has to teach about magic. You'll need 60 gold to do so. You should be able to find that amount before reaching Fergus even.

If you went hostile on rats before getting Edmond's quest, the two rats in the cell would show up as friendly, so attract your attention on the mini map. If not, other than re-checking everywhere, and re-entering the cell at least half way, there is not much direction on where to go, except that you would expect the evidence to be relatively close by.

I thought the talking skull was Abbe, given that it remembers being a teacher. I tried to drag her into my inventory, but she wouldn't go. (Stupid stubborn skull...) That could have made an interesting twist. Complete the Kill Fergus quest and get the cap, or let the skull go home with Edmond and receive, perhaps, another skill from the teacher?

The skull has a male voice, though, and is not the same species (remembers being less lumpy, IIRC).

Hey,
Can anyone help? I've got stuck playing the demo and am getting a touch impatient!

I've been through the trap room and down to the end of this corridor. Near the end there are two guards who 'block' a door before they can be killed. After that I've dealt with the room that had four guards locked in, and been into what looks like the food room. However I can't seem to get any further. The two doors I haven't been through are now locked or 'blocked' Is there a key hidden somewhere I've missed?

Thanks

for those who play mage characters, u can sneak & cast your spell thus killing your enemies who just won't be able to 'see' u. i have tried this many times & it works. i think it's a bug.

Sounds like a bug because when 'sneaking' if you make an offensive move you give yourself away and the enemy should be able to see you then.

Probably an oversight. Even though the enemy can't see you, they should be slightly upset at being torched. Things like that don't "just happen", except on the streets of L.A. at night. (Kidding!)
