I was intrigued by the review of this game in game.exe magazine.
It is some kinda third person shooter with some command tactics elements.
It is written that, it is a parody on Star wars and Lord of the Rings. Fantasy background gives an atmosphere and is object of humour, where machine guns and rocket launchers coexist with bows arrows and magic.
It is a comedy on moral and social norms of behaviour. But, it is done in a stylish and ethical way rather than trite, full of vomit and dirt Postal2 from Running with Scissors.
jump to Gamespot review Armed and dangerous was created by the same developers as the Giants: Citizen Kabuto.
Has anyone played this game? Please, share with your impressions. Is it really that good?
It's an average 3/5 game, rushed by LucasArts to get more money. This game has nothing except slightly outdated graphics (same engine as Giants) and pure shooting. It's VERY funny, it seems, but if I'd wanted funny, I'd read the books.
I loved Giants, though, because it had strategy, base-building, action, humour, vehicle riding, spells, weapons and Kabuto (you could breed offsprings, eat people, jump, had many supermoves...).
P.S. I liked Postal 2. It was funny. Which means that, since we have different tastes, you might like Armed and Dangerous more than I did.
Good luck. Try the demo first, if you wish.
