Well I couldn't answer many of those....
" Road rage, air rage. Why should I be forced to divide my rage into seperate categories? To me, it's just one big, all-around, everyday rage. I don't have time for distinctions. I'm too busy screaming at people. " -George Carlin

I got a 48. I should have just guessed more, because I had others right but left them blank because I wasn't sure...I was drunk through most of the 80's anyway! But I did have fun from what I remember...

Well, it is time for old long haired punk to come out from a dark corner and say a couple of words. All of you are writing about pop music, - right word is - disco of eighties.
What about good old rock?
Nobody mentioned Doors, Pink Floyd, King Crimson (a bit of punk of course - Sex Pistols, Dead Kennedys, Pixies), Coal Chamber. Ohh. how could I forget - Led Zeppelin, Bob Marley even.
I have never liked Ozzy Ozbourne, especially after he started his show on MTV He always looked like overpainted doll.

I was into the Rude boy scene, Two Tone records and the like, The Specials A.K.A.,The Selecter, The Bodysnatchers, The beat and some early Madness. But the Specials were my favourite band... The Specials.

Sorry egin but The Doors, Pink Floyd, King Crimson are not from the eighties but from the sixties. Jim Morrison, the singer of the Doors died in Paris at the beginning of the seventies. His grave is still in the cementary "Le Pčre Lachaise" in Paris.
BTW i like them too. The Doors : Riders on the storm, Pink Floyd : Astronomy Domine King Crimson : In the court of the Crimson King.

Ahh, Barta, I see truth in your words
I really wasn't paying very close attention to when exactly those artists created those albums. I was listening to that music somewhere in eighties/early nineties. I really couldn't do that in sixties due to my age
But, still Morisson died somewhere in 1973. "In the court of crimson king" was the first album of Crimson King and was written in 1969. Fripp is still writing music, but my favourite are his early albums, like "In the Court of the Crimson King", "Starless and the Bible Black"-my most favourite and "Larks Tongues in Aspec".
As for the soft music one I can remember and recommend as thue hit of that time song - "Hotel California" from Eagles (hope it is created in eighties).
