No, no Luc, definitely not stupid, just lucky.
I have been wiping those nasty dialers off hundreds of times.

Lews experienced of course the typical prejudice. It is like goths that people think that they like to drink blood and sleep in coffins.

Although that blood thing isn't entirely untrue... It's mostly baby-goths who do that though.

I am amazed. I thought you did not like goths and punks

What on Earth gave you that idea? A number of my friends are in the goth scene, but for the most part, you can have a friendly conversation with any of them. Baby-goths can be a bit hard to deal with. They're so superficial that they consider themselves a higher class and don't appreciate anyone who doesn't take it as seriously as them. Also, goths are cute and fun-loving.

I had this impression because you have mention several times that you are a bit conservative. But it was a wrong impression and I am so glad

What do you mean by Baby Goths? The young at age? If so I agree with you. Young goths have got it all wrong. I am not saying that I am right but it makes me sad to see young goths mislead people to wrong assumptions about goths. When goth movement began I was there and things were different. Goths never thought their selves as superiors. Just different. And they are actually shy. We like romantic things and we feel a bit out of time and place. But this is a thing that all people have felt for at least once in their life. Who wouldn´t want to live in the fairy tale worlds of Divine Divinity or other games? This pose of superioroty is actually a defence. But sure young goths are not familiar with the ideology and the background. Goths is not only black clothes and vampire loving. It is something more and above that. That thing with the blood always makes me laugh I have seen young goths trying to prove that they like blood and when they get hurt by accident, they faint in the sight of blood

Cheers to you handsome

I'm not so much conservative as reserved. I'm quiet and slightly sociopathic, but I'm very open minded. I don't mind what people do. If I don't agree I don't, but I won't stop them unless there's a very good reason.

Baby Goths are Teenie-Bopper Goths. One's who are gothic because gothic is cool. It's cool to worship Satan. It's cool to listen to heavy metal. It's cool to look dead. And if you don't think the same, then you're not really goth. Would it hurt for them to think for themselves?

Goths are just a misunderstood crowd. And it's probably their shyness that causes said misunderstanding. I wouldn't call myself goth. Maybe semi-goth. I like the music... and happy hardcore and trance. I like to dress dark sometimes, but I also like hawian shirts. The costumes people wear to gothic clubs are great! I believe in magic and do try things occasionally. But I like it all because it feels good to me. It makes me happy and I appreciate it. There's no superficial reasons behind it.

Same back to you, beautiful.

well I like the music, I like dressing like that, and i think the custuems are cool, and magic.

but most people just think of Goths as Satan worshipers. many people I know think that. But I haven't met many goths who do.

but thats just my experiances.

Couldn't agree more with you. We must do things because they make us happy. Not because they are in fashion. And there is nothing wrong with the colourfull shirts if you like them. That is the thing I always fight for. To be yourself no matter what.

One note about the clothes. It is not about costumes even though the young Goths treat clothes like costumes. Costume is something that you wear it for a special reason/occasion. But real Goths wear their clothes all the time. It is their usual dressing. I wear my clothes even in the office. There are Goths that are dressed different at work and different in the club. This is about costume dressing code and I hate it. If you want to be a Goth it would be all the time. Not just when you go to a club to show people that you are in fashion.

@ Lews

No we don't worship Satan. We just exept that if there is good in this world there is also evil. Those two are bonded and can not separeted. The eternal conflict between right and wrong. Good and evil. This conflict is represented to every minute of our life. So we don't fight good or evil. We embrase them because that is the only way to gain balance. Think of it. This conflict exists even in us. We all have a good self and a bad self. We are separeted in to two parts. And we are balanced only when those two show their face for the same amount of time

Erhhh... I am drinking my coffe and I am having a philosophical mood. Please forgive me. I am sutting up

That's a very blanket statement. That's like saying all teenagers are nasty, selfish kids who just like to get other peoples' ways and cause trouble. Whilst true for some, certainly not for all.

I like black because it looks good to me. I think that obsessive amounts of foundation makeup looks stupid. And while I know some people that think depression is cool, I know that it is a very real thing to other people and is not a pleasent condition to have.

And what's wrong with seeking attention? Everybody wants some. Why not stand out? Why not feel good about yourself? Goths are being happy what they are. Teenie-boppers are happy being what they are. Petrol-heads, same to them. I think all this classing of people is stupid and pointless, because no-one fits into a class entirely (unless they have identity problems). It just makes people feel better to stereotype others and themselves. It's a strange sense of security...

You know Kabouti since you mentioned it many manga have gothic elements. Take Vampire Princess Miyou (or however it is spelled sorry my japanese suck). And Sailormoon. Did you know that many female goths make their hair like Sailormoon? And Bronze (only for adults please - Binsujo) has many many gothic scenes in. And there are so many other manga titles that have gothic elements and music too. There is also (as I recently discovered) Japanese gothic music too. Malice Mizer is a Japanese gothic band. So perhaps you should not be scared by the looks of goths

You know, looking at that pink one below there in the first picture... I don't really think of "Gothic"... more "My Little Pony"

But it's not really my area Gothic I mean. My Little Pony at the other hand... (isn't that eighties btw? )

My only source of information for the eighties is Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, an awesome game and also a very crude insight into the politics of the eighties. I'm only 16 wot do I know eh!

Thnx for the pics!!! Love the one with Vampire Princess!!! Have you got a picture of her guardian too? If so please post it so people to see?

@ Kajero

Yeap it looks like that. But this is a promo picture. If you see the animation series there is an atmosphere that is not like Little Ponny. Very dark indeed. And Yeap you are correct. Little ponny was on air on the 80´s. At least here in Greece. But the first animation series in here was Candy - Candy. Really great work!

Oh btw my signature icon is from sailormoon

Anyway to be back on topic (I think), I wanted to point out that almost all goths like manga. How could you be scared of a person that likes child´s series? If you see me with my sailormoon ponytails don´t freak out
