I thought I read about a possible sequel, not counting beyond divinity, somewhere but Im not sure where and now its not showing up when I search for it... was I imagining things or is there truth out there somewhere

Check the Beyond Divinity FAQ, where it says that BD is not DD2, but DD2 is planned. DD2 has been mentioned several places as part of what the Larians are working on, but few details have been released. It is a new engine all in 3D, and will have multi-player; the story takes place after BD.
