Oui la crémaillère est une sorte de crochet en fer que les paysans accrochaient dans la cheminée de la cuisine au dessus du feu afin de pouvoir y suspendre des marmites et des chaudrons dans lesquels ils faisaient cuire la nourriture.

If my French didn't faile on me today, I think this was something about a hook that was attached in the chimney above the fire to hang a big pot, so the farmers could cook their meals in it, I'm a right about it? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />
I was just way ahead of übereill here, before he starts asking what you (Barta) said. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" />

Yep very good explanation.
You know what ? Your french is far better than my english.
Sometimes i feel tired of searching the right words (that i don't know) for answering to the posts.

I miss Master Guroth so much. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/disagree.gif" alt="" /> He was the only one with whom i could talk in french in this forum. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif" alt="" />
The french section is so empty.
Looking at the first page of the french general section, you could see that i have opened 10 topics out of 20.
The french people read the topics but nobody posts answers. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif" alt="" />
