Unlike the horoscope or astrology which is based on metaphysics, biorhythms were scientifically proven to exist. One of the first applications of biorhythms was an attempt to prevent airline accidents caused by pilot error. A regressive analysis of all airline accidents over the last forty years in several independent studies has shown a conclusive correlation to criticals in the biorhythmic status of a pilot and copilot or both. Though not widely publicised, virtually every international airline company charts the biorhythms of their pilots and creates schedules that avoid placing "critical" pilots in the cockpit. In Japan, use of biorhythms is even more widespread. Nearly all transportation companies as well as a large segment of indusry chart the biorhythms of their pilots, drivers, or other employees working in or around machinery. Statistics on biorhythms are actually based on Japanese data since it's so widely used there. Use of biorhythms has shown a reduction of up to 60% in accidents. When Mark Spitz won an unprecedented 7 gold medals at the Munich summer Olympics, he was the only swimmer in the competition enjoying biorhythmic positives in all three of his cycles over the full five days of the major swimming event. In one race, he won only by one hundreth of a second. One cannot help but speculate how results might have differed if Spitz competed one week earlier or one week later. The mortality rate on the triple critical dates or the number of people to die on these particular days is more than 11 times the expected mathematical rate according to some studies. The odds against this correlation of mortality and biorhythmic criticals appearing accidentally is more than a thousand to one.
