In the dungeon: You'll reach a small platform with 6 paths leading from it:

Now you have to kill the 5 Black Ring Members in their fortresses first, so the spikes barring your way north to the Demon of Lies will disappear. There's no use in shortcuts with pyramid-teleporting, you have to fight all of them first,otherwise the Demon will not turn hostile - no time limit.

If you don't know who you'll encounter: I wrote down the crystal colours, too surrounding these dungeons.
