Well Ive been playing a game as the survivor, my guy is Artemis, and Ive noticed that everyone on here seems to do quite a bit of cross class skills taking or whatnot. To begin, I feel kind of cheated for the skills that the survivor starts out with, assassin's kiss and trader's tongue. As Raze pointed out to me on both accounts, there arent too many awesome daggers or knifes (things that can use assassin's kiss) out there, and even though Im currently using a dagger that needed level 5 identify that I swiped from the mage in the market, its use against the elite orcs and creatures tougher then those is starting to decrease and I dont feel like wasting skill points on the hope that I'll find something more useful. Then there's trader's tongue, and once again Raze pointed out that there is a HUGE excess of gold and items that sell for alot throughout this game and it isnt needed.
Anyway back to the main thing, with Artemis I have gotten through a good junk of the game without having to get alot of skills from other classes. The only skills that I actually picked from other classes were repair and 2 points in stun, then I received probably 5 other skills from quests and books, but these I rarely use. Im sure there are skills out there that would greatly benefit me but Im just not seeing them.
Now we come to the new Wizard character I created, Raistlin. He starts with Meteor Strike, great against the skeles AND orcs in the first part, and Summon vermin... VERMIN come on! Well anyway I leveled my guy to level 5 or so before heading into the catacombs by doing the Gem quests and George quest, but I think Im forgetting about one? I dunno. Anyway he's just demolishing everything in the catacombs with this meteor strike but Im starting to think that I need to start grabbing some other skills from other classes. I took lock pick (Oh baby how I love this skill ) from survivor, and repair from warrior... but from there I'm outta ideas. I guess augment defense would be good for him because he's not going to be strong so he wont be able to wear heavy armor, but besides that Im running a blank.
