I wouldn't be so harsh. It is is a Divinity related website anyway, right? And this is the forum for anything generally about Divinity, not just help with the game.
General chat is for junk (my opinion) like... 'one word'...
Although the whole little discourse, "hey check out my site"/ "hey it's a great site"/ "really?"/ "yeah it is"....could have easily taken place via pm.
