I have so far not randomly found any melee weapon better than those that come with the usual quests (depending on their random stats)
The best weapon I found randomly was a bow with 188 max damage and some additional stats, no charms though. I don't have a save to make a screen shot from unfortunately (I dumped it for Hilfin's bow, because of the charms)
