Indeed, mystery solved. One of my two characters must have joined Feargus in death the first time, because I've just finished the demo all the way to the pit. I thank all who took time to answer my questions! And I have more. Hehe.
First, there were two doors and a chest in the main prison area that I never found keys to unlock. I put the chest in my inventory and hauled it around, but never was able to unlock it. Did I miss the key somewhere?
Second, when I paid for "lessons" from the didn't-know-he-was-dead tunnel digger, he took my money and I saw the additional resistances listed on my character sheet, but the missle skill did not show up anywhere. Same when I found skillbooks. I used them, but wasn't given the skill. Now that really bites! Did I do something wrong?
