Yay for Dune! But only their earlier stuff. They're more recent stuff doesn't sound like anything. I think one of the group members changed or something.

Technohead was another good one, until they killed themselves with a drug overdose.

Dune's female singer changed a while back, and I agree, their early work rocks (Especially Hand in Hand and Hardcore Vibes) but I really like some of their more recent work. Ever heard their song "Club Bizarre"? I think that's with their newer singer and I absolutely love it. It could also be a Metallica thing = they're trying new styles before their classic feel gets old (btw, as a note, I hate the "new" Metallica. Black Album or bust, baby).

Might have to look for that... Since the new singer, I've heard Electric Heaven and another single (Promise, perhaps?) and they were both crap.

Did you listen to their album Forever. Not hardcore at all, it's symphony covers of other songs. They did a really good job on it.

a friend kept pestering me to listen to massive attack & an uncle told me to check out air.

thank God for them; i love massive attack's 100th window (i'm a late bloomer, i know) as it's the kind of ambient music that i like. same goes for air. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" />

as for DJ, my fav will always be dj shadow.

Their covers are great, but still don't hold a candle to their own songs. But, meh, I'm just picky that way. I had to go through 17 different pianists before I could find someone that played Beethoven's 27th symphony just right.
