for my people & other tribes in Borneo, tattoo is very meaningful. firstly it means a person's passage to adulthood. it also means a person's status in the community as well as achievement. normally ladies have as many tattoos as men but i find the tattoos for ladies are more beautiful & fine. the details are very impressive which u may have to look closely to see them. for certain tribes, tattoo serves as a charm against harm.
