and I like to start as an
Elven Paladin female,
if someone else will roll the stats or not that's fine too, suggest D&D rules in this as most ppl are familiar with those.

Er, no D&D rules. I want to just write a good tale. The deadline is fine though. How you do your own character is fine also of course.

I think we can set the genre as fantasy unless anyone has some SERIOUS objections.

actually.....i think the fantasy genre would be the easiest genre for a multi-person story.......by the way this is by definition roleplaying at least define infinity was...........

We are planning on starting a new story, if you don't have any idea what I mean, read a bit of define infinity.

We still need to think who will be the bad guy, volunteers?

I will be a mysterious guy who has ventured around the world for a long time, and he has lost his memory and everything.
He used to be powerfull, but he forgot how to fight at all.
He is shy, and, since he has been alone for such a long time, he doesn't know how to make contcact with people; let alone make friends..
I guess he will need your help there guys.

I havent got the time to read through the complete thread yet, but i think i'll join too.

The idea of the rule thread is very good Viper.
I think a thread for char and info is also advisable (like define infinity).

well thats why I suggested my boards, cus I've splitted the forum in:
the stories itself
info
pre-start info
and chat

threads with rules will get to easely lost here.

How about these for a start?

No spamming in the story. Relevant posts only.
No posting immediately after you have posted.
No super characters, uber powers, ridiculous amounts of sub-plots.

Just write your character as you see fit. No need for excessive rules. I think now we need story ideas and not let this thread meander into endless waffle.

I would like to start my tale in a bar, or maybe a graveyard..... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />

If anyone else wants to make some suggestions as to what the main idea will be behind this story please do. We need a 'main quest' so to speak.

Beyond Infinity ok for a title then?

I know I havent posted a lot here and some of you probably dont know me, but I was wondering if I could join that story of yours. I already have a character with a full background story and I would like to participate in this new story with him (Rythok)

If you dont want me in here that's fine, cause maybe you dont trust me and I could be a guy who would ruin this whole thing.
