So, if you want to play a 'survivor' class in CaRPG, can you upgrade the internal combustion engine to electric, and the gas tank to a fuel cell for stealth attacks?

The idea of a katana as a weapon set me a bit on edge, even when I thought the game was genuine. You're going to stick it on the side of the car so you can slice people as you drive by?

It would make more sense if character and car were separated entities (Like Mad Max and his Interceptor or...the Hero and the DK). That 50% cyborg - 50% car, concept <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ouch.gif" alt="" />

I took a look at the "screenshot" first without reading through the article and was really hoping for a cross between Fallout and Mad Max,... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cry.gif" alt="" />

Many fans have been hungering for a follow up to Fallout 2 for a lifetime, so for an april's fool it was a hit below the belt, imo.

Personally I think it's an awful idea for a game, and I wouldn't touch that premise! Thankfully it's not real!

They wouldn't announce the real secret project on April 1st of all days anyway...as this skeptical response would have been the same even it the project was 100% legit.

I can tell you why there are so many people: The topic is linked from the front Gamestar site, which is one of the most trafficed game sites of Europe.
(They say: We would wish Larian the courage to really develop a car roleplaying game.)

I hope they realize this is just a joke, or Larian might lose their credibility...

They realize it, the link is under companies' Aprils Fools jokes, along with the Blizzard joke, and others. That's also why they write they wished Larian really had the courage to do it.

A lot of other game developers are making April jokes today.
And the idea is not so bad. I would like a game in the future.
Marian could realise great graphisms and Kyrill a nice music;
The only thing i don't like is that the hero and the car are linked.
It is "déjà vu" with the hero and the Deathknight in Beyond Divinity.

Am I the only one who thinks playing a game as a talking cyborg car in car chases and 'battles' around the now standard post-apocalyptic scenario a really bad idea??
