Blinky snorted right into Lews ear...
"what the bloody hell was that!" he holered. Blinky licked his nose. "thanks alot, pig. now what?" He was in a room, well, a richly furnished vault of space; anyways. Judgeing by the lack of space, Lews was in a tower. Suddenly a tall, thin, black fellow appeared and walked towards Lews... "Oh [nocando]"

After i told them about the garlic, one of the minions attackes me rightaway. I could just dodge the blow.
From the corner of my eye i saw one of my fellow fighters fell in a moment of unattending. I had to laugh, but didnt got the time because the minions attacked us again.
I hitted him on his arm, this time there was big cut left and he diffenatly felt it. So the vampire is getting weaker. How??
Then i saw the same guy who fell, standing up wth garlic in his hand. "Look what i have here!" he yelled at the vampire. You could tell the vampire didnt like it. "I'll get you on a moment of weakness" he said and left.
His minions fell down like lifeless corpses. "Well thats that then." "Watch out, the vampire will find a way past the garlic." Were the last worlds of the soldier before he left.
I made a stick with a sharp point on the end and stabbed it into the corpses hearts. Just to be sure.
"Ok, all this fighting makes me hungry. Lets go back to the inn and eat, maybe get a good night of sleep." I said and went back.
I entered the inn, it wass pretty mutch back in order as i first arrived. Then i noticed the big orc sitting at one of the tables. I had read about theses fierce creatures, but never saw one in person. What i knew from them was what i've read. But this seemed to be quite diffrent, almost civilesied. I sat down at the table and ordered dinner. I looked around in the inn, al seemed fine for now.

After the fight i too returned to the inn..things seemed fine..i only took a quick gaze at the orc...it was pretty funny seeing him sit at the table playing cards so casually....(yep this is definitely an interesting place hahahhaaa)
i couldn't hold my laugh in..so i just stood there laughing out loud...i saw a couple of glances towards me, but at that moment i was the last to care...
After a short while i could finally get a grip on my self again.. "sorry people, i just had to put out a bit of relieve...Bartender, 2 bottles of your strongest please.."
After that i went sitting at a table..and thought about who or what that voice could have been....

"So who's the other contact we're waiting for" I asked the man. "Someone who has a good reputation and will fill in some tasks need in our group", he replied. "That's kinda vague you know" "I know, but that's all you need to know for now." "Ok, but what do you think of the cardplayers at the next table... don't you think they might prove usefull for whatever it is we need to do. I keep getting the impression that we're not going to have a walk down the park, so we might have an advantage with this huge green fella in our group, and the other one to win games that can get us the necessary credits and supplies". "I'll think about it" he said and continued staring at the door

"Gabriel carefully chose us to do this job, he won't send us on any suicide mission. Besides this quest won't get anywhere near danger, it's an easy job. Don't worry"
What we wouldn't give for some sake right now, this is just piss.
We glanced at the orc, who seemed to enjoy the human games and food a lot, he seems friendly but orcs can be tricky at times. "He's a big fella that orc isn't he? but still we could win from him unarmed, the body is an excellent weapon. Right finish your drink, we'll go looking for our friend now."

The orc, who's name I now gathered was Jurak played rather well. He could bluff quite convincingly and we both finished the game relatively even. The odd mercinary-looking types had returned to the bar. I listened to some of their conversation. The loose lips of drunkards could tell many things. They seemed to be strangers to each other for the most part. A little small-talk was all I could pick up. The paladin said something about the vampire they had fought. What was going on here? Apart from the toenail gang nothing much happened. Now wizards and adventurers were streaming in from every corner of the world. After introducing himself as Joliekiller the paladin sat down for a game. We played cards for a while. He seemed rather good but couldn't bluff very well. I got about 6 gold pieces out of him in the end. He didn't seem to mind. Paladins seem to accept defeat gracefully, although he was the first one I'd met. I asked him why come to this pit of a town? He replied that evil lurks in all places..... He told me of the village outside of town and the dead boy. I listened, intrigued. The toenail gang wouldn't do this. Dead people can give them no protection money; there was no fun in it for them. He said the boy had mentioned demons before he had died. Despite my better judgment I said I'd go look tomorrow. "Maybe you would like to show me exactly where this place was?" I asked Jolie.

I was unable to move, I couldn't think clearly.. What the he1l had happened there? I looked at the lifeless bodies.. It had been normal humans. Even though I saw them fighting for the vampire, and I knew they were actually monsters, I still sort of felt sorry for them. They couldn't help it that they fell for the power of the vampire. The best place to get my thoughts straight will probably be the bar I thought to myself, and I walked back inside. I saw an orc playing cards with the palladin and the guy who had been playing earlier.. As is nothing had happened..
I ordered a beer and while I was drinking it the bartender asked me "Is something wrong sir?" "No, Wh-what do you mean? Why should there be anything wrong?" He nodded and replied "When someone is sweating, pale and his hands are shaking, mostally there is something wrong.. Does it have to do with the vampire?"

I took a quick glance in through the room.....every men has his story to tell...but most of them keep it to themselfs....and so did i...allthough i needed supplies it was just a cover up for what i actually was here for....
i had to contact some people here...but who they were i don't know...
i saw the man who restored me during the fight...he seemed a little tensed and tired..i highly doubted that he was one of the people i needed to contact...then there was the paladin, the orc and the guy with his pet hand....none of them seemed like they could be the ones i was waiting for...
So what was left were the 2 guys at another table...there was the guy who gave the herbs to help the wounded soldier and the guy who played the instruments for some kids...(this is crazy...i'm taking a too big risk!)
But there was nothing left for me to but to go talk to them..so i stood up..and walked across the room towards the 2......

The door of the Tavern opened with an eerie creak, the various customers looked up to see who came in .... but ther was nobody at the door.
Slowly, very slowly the door squeeked shut again.
And then everyone at the Tavern felt a chill, like a draught running down their spine, even the Orc shrugged, as if to say; Wot wos dat?
The Tavern quieted down, everyone sat or stood still, holding their breath.
You could hear a pin drop ....
Then without a sound, every person heard the laughter .....

"Well dear friend," I believe his name was Will or something. "We will go tomorrow or in a few hours, i'd like to get some sleep if you dont mind. I haven't slept in 3 days."
He nodded. "Me too." The orc next to us didnt look tiered at all. Oh well. I went upstairs to my room and lied myself down to sleep.
......
[color:"yellow"] The skys were nice blue color as i walked through the valley. All seemed ok and peacefull. And then... al of a sudden the sky turned dark and scary. All life around me seemed to dissapear. All i heard was an evil laughter. [/color]
I woke up. What did this dream mean??
i could still hear the evil laughter, like it was real
I went back downstairs, ready to go for the trip to the village. Downstairs i noticed the big silence and people were obviously scared. And still i heard the laughter....

[color:"#33cc33"]It was a pleasant card game, and i faired just about even with Mr.Will, the drinks were wet and the food was plenty... Does it have to do with the vampire?" i heard the bartender say, to someone at the counter who looked visibly shaken and quite disturbed. There were a few gentlemen at a table across the bar, looking rather confused and unsure about something or other. The people streamed in after that for the next little while and I noticed a few unsure glances my way... maybe being in the company with this gent here, is saving my OrCass!, could possibly lead to some adventure, i really don't want to go back to Orcidale, living in the same old dingy cave, and that job i had making toothpicks out of logs, for peanuts....and i don't even like peanuts... so every day after work and getting my peanuts, i had to go home, change my clothes and head out on the streets of Orcidale and peddle my nuts.....just to make some money...
if i get in tight with this bunch.....all my troubles will be over... I was fading in and out because, it had been a loong time since my last pissfest....
"Maybe you would like to show me exactly where this place was?" Will asked Jolie. Jolie said he was tired and needed some rest and Will agreed Now I was getting intrigued, but i pretended not. In an instant...the front door swung wide creaking spookily, and then closed again, it was a very spiritual feeling, like a ice cube down your back, the silence was broken by some very hideous, sinister crazy-type laughing.... This village is different allright, but humans are still humans, you gotta watch them every step of the way! And I will...

The words came in to everyones mind; "Don't worry little ones, one of these days you shall find out" and with that the Tavern door creaked open again and slammed shut with a loud BANG!!
and everything was quiet once again.

I walked to my small cabin after the ordeal with the vampire. It was so strange....why has he come here?
I was so tired, it had been a long day. I made myself some tea, one that would help make me sleep, and not have to think and worry about what had happened today.
I woke up with a start. Something was happening, i could feel it in the bones of my body. Maybe it was just the tea wasn't strong enough. Maybe my brain was working over time.
I got off my pallet, and decided to go for a walk, i could not sleep.
I stepped into the cool night air, and breathed deeply. I wonder what all the other poor souls were doing this night, after so much termoil. Proably in the tavern, drinking their problems away.
I walked towards the tavern. I did not feel like being alone tonight, i did need some company.
I opened the tavern door, and was so surprised at the silence. There was usually so much noise in this place.
The smokey air even seemed to be still.
I walked towards the table where a card game was being held.

We were sipping or beaverage when suddenly we felt a presance very near, we tilted our mug little and looked at who had approached this table. His told me confusing and greatness as if he new something good was going to happen to him, or did. We swallowed the last bit of the juice and put the mug down with a big "aaaah" and mouth wiping move.
"Are we supposed to know you? what's your bussines?"

Lews heard a large "ahh" and a clank behind him, so taking his drink he turned around to stare at the people.
Maybe there was someone who might hire him for a few days and he might learn a few things to do in a place with ALOT more then 5 or so people... hmm...the endless possibilities...

I looked at the people playing cards, and another 3 sitting on another table.. No one seemed to notice me, and I figured it was about time to leave this strange place. I payed the bartender and picked up my stuff.. While walking out the door, I said goodbye to the people inside, but only in my thoughts.. I wasn't used speaking for a large group.. So I left silently.
Maybe I would see them again on another day.. Maybe even sooner than I would expect.. These are a strange group of people after all.
I walked towards the gate and..

The dark laughter chilled the air. I could see no malevolent spirits around me but I felt it even in my advanced drunken state. Jurak reached for his massive sword, clearly alarmed. Many of the mercenary-type customers looked for an enemy to kill.
Nothing was seen, nothing to fight or kill. I felt it almost pass by me and look at my very soul. As quickly as it came it disappeared. A moment of stunned silence, almost worse than the laughter fell around us. The murmur of hushed conversation returned slowly but something was different. There was fear in those voices now. Was there something hunting us? This night seemed to have drawn together a rather odd crowd for some reason. There were more than the usual suspects here, an orc, a paladin, an elven healer and my drunken self. There was also the odd man at the bar talking to himself, a man who resembled a wizard and a shy man alone at the end of the bar. Something about him seemed to give the impression he was more than he seemed to be. Before I could analyse him further he left. I felt we'd see him again.
Looking around further, another stranger sat with a loaded crossbow. He did not look edgy, just prepared. Something was going to happen. I just had no idea what.
Then it hit me. There were no spirits around in the bar anymore. The maniacal laughter had even driven them away. What would frighten the dead? “Something evil this way cometh,” I thought to myself. Half-sobering up. “We have to check out that village tomorrow Jolie,” I said without really realizing it. Was I a glutton for punishment? Or had life finally dragged out a destiny for me to follow? “As is my duty.” Jolie solemnly replied. “Will you accompany us Jurak? We could use a good strong arm.” I asked the orc. He still had a furrowed brow. He was angry that there was nothing to squish. “Nobody laughs at me and gets away with it!” He growled. “But I did!” “Huh? When?” “You made that joke about the monk and the goblin and told it wrong. I had to correct you. The mistake was funnier than the actual joke though.” “Hmmmm…. You’ll get away with that for now. You’re Jurak’s buddy! I’ll not kill you unless you really annoy me!”
Wondering what would ‘really annoy’ a race that seemed permanently annoyed I left the conversation there. I noticed Carrie had entered the inn. She was visibly distressed. She was drinking elven wine which was unusual for her. She was also within 100 feet of me. Which was even more unusual. Her elven beauty was even more apparent up close. Sitting almost opposite me she glaced up. Her eyes burned into mine for a seconed. Blue within blue. Powerful, strong and resolute. She almost put the next question I asked into my mouth.
“What about you my lady? Healers are always welcome with a party of adventurers. Especially ones as beautiful as yourself.” I felt myself grimace. Why did I say that last bit? She had no interest in me. Her reply was equally surprising though. “I will come. Tonight I felt a magical disturbance I have not seen the like of for many years. It worries me greatly.” That was all she said. She returned to her quiet contemplation and the odd elven wine. She wanted to come, that was why she came to the inn. Whether I asked or not she would have ended up with us.
“So that’s settled then!” Jolie seemed to come alive again. There was evil to find and destroy I guess. What else did a paladin live for? It must be hard even with all that self-discipline fighting human ‘urges’. Not for me, I knew that much about myself. “Meet here in the morning when I’ve got rid of my hangover” I replied. I gave in to my protesting liver and drank up the last of my mead. Bed was calling, time to sleep.

"I don't actually know. I've been told to meet 2 ppl here for a mission" The stranger replied, somewhat unsure of himself.
"You mean 'Gabby' told you?" Gabriel can't afford his name to be heard everywere since he's supposed to be vanquished. So we smoothly nicked him Gabby.
"Eh?" "Oh, yes." He sighed in relief.
So luckly for us he came to us, thats easier than for us to look for him. "Have a seat, can we offer you lads a drink?" They both nodded so we yelled for the bartender since the orc fellow is talking so loud, and made a circular motion with our finger. He understood and quickly brought us more mugs.
"We shall not wait any longer, here's the story: We've all been contacted by gabby, you know who he was, but not what he is now. When the council of mages banished him from this dimension they forgot that Gabby posses the skills to blink, well they know he had it but seriously underestimated the power of it. The council banished him to the 15th dimension, wich has no intelligent species and thus no contact with other dimensions, this meaning that evil couldn't get Gabby back.
This absence of evil cleared Gabby's mind as if evil powers had no power over it anymore. Gabby then build up his power during 6 new moons and created a portal back to this dimension. Evil thinks he's vanquished and good thinks he's still banished. So Gabby could do whatever he want, and he wants to revenge evil, for evil had stolon his identity from heaven.
Now that you know this, and we ain't lying, this is no job for evil, we will tell you your mission.
Gabby has chosen us wisely, You'll see why:
We have to find Rasmukin, he's a warlock but has no power in this dimension, he can only communicate trough dimensions, wich gives him the power to call demons in this world. If we have found them we have to strip him from his powers. Gabby has crafted this ring for it, it looks like a normal ring, but only when evil is close it reveals its true nature. You two are here to offer me protection while we are vurnable, when we are using the ring we must concentrate on Rasmukin, but during the process Rasmukin can still use his remaining power to contact some demons in closer dimensions. Hold them of my case and when I depleated Rasmukins power The demons will lose their right to be in this world and dissapear."
The newest stranger looked bit freightened "Demons?" He said, "I'm not sure I can handle demons"
"Don't worry my friend, you have recently discovered a new you? don't you? we can see it in you eyes. But new isn't exaclty right, its an old you. Gabby has known you for a long time and trust in your capabilites to rediscover yourself in time."
"As for you" We faced towards the mandolin guy, or guitarman whatever "I gues he has chosen you for your cunning"
It's one of these days...
