What I recogised was that I wasn't able to start BD while my control panel monitor ( a 190/900 dial up warner ) was running. So may be you've got some programms running in the background whitch you should switch of and try again.
just an idear!
BTW: I got this direct x massage as well but got a graphic chip problem anyway. So i solved it by installin an other graphic driver.

Wie auch immer..
Ich habe festgestellt das ich BD nicht starten konnte wenn mein DFÜ Monitor gelaufen ist ( so etwas wie ein 0190/099 Warner ). Vielleicht hast Du ja auch irgend ein Programm noch im Hintergrund laufen, dann stell es mal ab und versuch es noch ein mal. Nur so eine Idee.
Am Rande: Den DirectX Fehler hatte ich auch, hatte aber generell ein Grafickchip Problem gehabt und nach einer Treiberneuinstallation hat es dann funktioniert.
