Gothic is really cool, and immersive. It's a bit like Arx Fatalis and Ultima Underworld
It's a 1st person in full 3D env. The begining is very hard and need patience, cause you just arrive, have nothing and are weak, but it's a cool game.
Gothic II is easier to start with i think, but it's the natural sequel to the first <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />
Sacred is fun to play, more a diablo like, it's pure hack & slash, but you never clean up an area, monster spawn all the time ... it's boring after awhile.
I like to clean regions so they safe later, but here it never happens.
So as people said, after a while you just ride your horse thru everything and sometimes kill a monster or 2 till the destination of the main or sub questes.
The lack of interactivity with the scenes and NPCs is true as well.

You all say Gothic is cheap, but i was unable to find any of the titles Gothic 1 or 2 here, nor on amazon uk
So are you sure Gothic 1&2 in english is still availiable anywhere ?
I desesperatly want to buy those 2.
And i saw that the addon may not be done in english (WTF!)
