Lord Bubba you keep ranting about being the honest consumer yet you complain that there will be Copy protection on the game that makes you work hard to play the game...ehhhh(blinks) let's weigh the average consumers pains agains the developers pains in creating a game(hmmm yea thought so) No matter what extent of Copy Protection is used in games the consumer will still buy the game, even if they have to keep the cd in the drive when they play the game, or have to have a certain drive to read the cd. The consumer will always be there to buy the game no matter what <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" /> Copy Protection on Games no wait on Software including Music Software(samplers, vst synths, others will only get more and more complex) the best on is example is: Kontakt(best softsampler) you add in a huge id code that you send into them, then they send you back another huge code of numbers, which you add in, then you go to there page and register with this code, after that it takes the two numbers and gives you your long register number which you enter in on the webpage and Wala! done LOL!!(and then there is the upgrading WHAHA) imagine that just to play a game <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/evilgrin1.gif" alt="" /> Still there those like Radius and forget the names(that can bust those things wide open(these guys crack everything There pro.)
Copy protection will stop most of everyone though from hacking and that's a good thing. NWN had a good Encription and there disks I believe were unburnable? Sony is always looking into ways to Beef up the CopyProtection on everything. (here's to copy protection errors, cheers)
just more of my bla bla bla <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/kitty.gif" alt="" />
