Larian Studios Forums Divine Divinity (English) Technical Problems Help ?

Just bought the game & love it - but...

Crashes 1 in 4 times on trying to save the game.
when I buy item's from the Shop? on the first level the game crashes.
before applying the *NEW* Patch - the game Crashed often to the desktop?

My System: Hardware-

768mb DDR PC333 (2700)
AMD Athlon XP 2.4 CPU
2 x 80gb HDD 7200rpm(Western Digital's)
ATI Radeon 9200 256mb DDR 8xAGP Graphics Card
Creative Labs Audigy Sound
ASUS A7N8X-X Motherboard

MS WinXP Pro - SP1 intergrated

ATI Catalyst Drivers v6.14.10.6436 (Newest Drivers)

The Game is patched with the latest patch available from www.divinedivinity.com
so what should I try next?

desktop resolution = 1024x768 @ 32bit
ATI Card set to 8x with Graphics Acceleration enabled...

Shutdown the firewall, anti-virus (especially) and any other background programs running before starting the game.

You can try switching to 16 bit colour depth; some people have had problems running in 32 bit (I didn't).

Troubleshooting Tips (& manual install procedure)

note. divine divinity does not have th elatest partch. click on the link above the forum, then divine divinity, then patch, then english (I assume) for the latest one. 1.34 or so.

set the screen resolution to 16bit (no Difference)
Reduced screen resolution to 800x640 (no Difference)
reduced AGP Card Speed from 8x to 4x (no Difference)
Uninstalled & reinstalled + The Latest Patch (no Difference)
Disabled AGP Card Hardware Acceleration (no Difference)
