What i do...(a lot of people have no idea....) <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
So, document control...
I take care of all the engineering drawings my company produces, and other vendors produce for Syncrude.
I make sure everything in the title block is spelt correctly, signed off with an engineers stamp...track them in a database, make sure they get reviewed by the proper engineers, and make sure people up at site get their copies.
If the review is not up to speck, i contact the vendor to make sure they get them corrected...
Well, that is it is a nut shell. Sounds kinda boring, but it's not...i gave you the short end of it. You really have to watch what you are doing, becasue these drawings you also put into a electronic filing database - if you check in the wrong drawing to the wrong spot, it can hold up work, becasue then you may have to try and find a very old drawing out of millions.
Make sense? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> (Not really....) <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
