Let me get this off my chest...the random loot generator SUCKS!! It seems like it was designed to generate piles useless junk instead of items that my character can actually use. This wouldn't be so bad if there is a weapon merchant in the Farmland area for my character to sell his junk to and buy stuff that he needs

Welcome!

Sometimes, actually more often than you seem to have experienced so far, the random generator creates really nice and usable items!

You can sell your surplus at the Rivertown Market (Northeast of the Farmland) to various Merchants.

Just drop your pyramid at Geoff the smith in Ars Magicana, who always seems to have 50000 gold ready. Then when you've picked up a surplus of junk, just sell everything.

Yes, ofcourse the random generator tends to create bad weapons, but wouldn't the game be too easy if you had a large suply of good weapons and armour?

Seeing as you're talking about the farmlands, I'm guessing you haven't gotten very far in the game yet (farmlands = near beginning of game). Patience! Good weapons will come. They always do. You just can't expect to find a good magical weapon in some farmers humble house, lying around for you to steal it.

Ok I finally found Geoff in the market to sell my goods to and figured out how to use those pyramid thingies, but the generator still pisses me off Maybe it's just my lousy luck but for some reason 90% of the weapon drops are uber knifes and staves while once in a while a sword would drop. Call me silly but I assumed that swords should naturally be more common for some reason lol

Yeah, but I wouldn't recommend playing on hard unless you've finished the game before, because hard is *REALLY* hard.

OOOO- ain't THAT the truth.
seems I played my first round in hard! I thought I'd lost all poewr of playing cuz it didn't seem like anyone else was having' the hard time I was. I discovered my error when trying to decide if I should drop to easy level after such a rought time in normal. but, I sucked it up & went for normal again... wooooaaaa! not the same game at all!!! (example- it took me EONS to knock off ms. josie that first time through!!)
...just a little rant
