Ok, now it's starting to make a bit more sence <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

BTW: There was a site that reviewed Beyond Divinity, but in it's title it had Divine Divinity, but it wasn't Fragland. C&VG it was I believe. Also, they were the ones that based their review on old code, and didn't really go into the game.

The score in fragland is fine as far as I can make out. I haven't played the game yet, but after reading the review, playing the demo and looking at screenshots, I would say it seems like a fair enough score.

Last but not least, about us having a review online of the final version before anyone else: quite simple explanation -> we got the final version before the rest.

I stand corrected.

Oh, and I also spotted some post somewhere about us listing "Beyond Divinity" as "Divine Divinity".

Dunno about the post you are refering to but the error was made by CVG, not you.

I must say it's a fair review. The review realy brings out the good points. As for the points, I like the objectivety. When you read the review you realy read that the gamplay is good and that what counts in my book. (altough a grafic master piece gets my juces flowing too.)

Definately the Fragland reveiw was great reading. I am more excited than ever for the game!I did find one quote in the CVG reveiw that I liked. "With a small but vocal cult following keenly baying for more," Hehe, not only are we the PIF! We are now a cult ! Geeze! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ouch.gif" alt="" /> The movement goes forward a notch! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ROFL.gif" alt="" />

Sorry, that’s me confusing things. As has been mentioned I was commenting on the C&VG review not having the name of the game right initially not fragland. PC Zone, the UK mag where the review came from, is the publication where I worked for 2 ˝ years as section editor. I do still write for them and I’m in the issue out this week (142) burbling about RPGs in the RPG supertest and wearing rubber armour yay! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Personally I was just ecstatic that the fragland reviewer loved the humour as a lot of it comes from my noggin. It’s nice to feel appreciated but weird to read reviews while being on the other side of things!

Leather Raven:

If you are the one responsible for the ingame script, my heartiest congratulations. I am reviewing the game for a website, and replayed several NPC conversations I enjoyed them so.

What I like about the humor is that it is not inane and sophmoric like the humor in RPG's of old. For example, when you looked in a mirror, it would say: "You see the ugliest person in the world." I really disliked that nonsense.

In any event, nice to "meet" you.

Thank you, my role was to take the original dialogues that Bronthion had written, edit and rewrite them, adding in more depth, life, humour and general polish. Some were rewritten more than others, for example in the demo, off the top of my head, the taking skull, ‘squishy bits’ mad prisoner and monty python-esk hanging skeletons were ones I worked on quite a bit. However, any subtle Star Trek references are likely to come from Bron <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I also did some original book texts about 3000 words of them which you can find scattered around the game and wrote the ‘Child of the Chaos’ Novella which has the same kind of humour and tells the story of good, evil and gods with too much time on their hands <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

First off, Leather Raven, congradulations on becomming a hatchling! All Dragons start from the egg...(on (kinda) topic) Secondly, will you be showing us overseas folks pics of your artical? I am sure everyone here would love to see some more stuff from you. Lastly, <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/offtopic.gif" alt="" /> again , I would like to let you know that I will treasure my signed copy of Child Of Chaos, and add it to my Larian shrine. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/up.gif" alt="" /> I also send a virtual ice pack... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wave.gif" alt="" />
