Here is what I've seen so far:
1) In action level of difficulty - you and the DK start off with 1 skill point. In tactical mode you have to wait until level 2 to get your first skill point.
2) Combat is pretty hard in tactical mode. So much so, I started over in action mode. I started in tactical mode with my char as a wizard and the DK as a warrior. By the 3rd fight we were both dead <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> However a tactic that I came up with later was to have my character run while the baddy chased me and have the DK hit the baddy from the rear while running. Also my character was very weak since I was a first level mage but had no skill points yet, so thus no magic.
