Oddly enough, Fergus wasn't the slightest problem. I just had my two characters pound him and consume healing potions in the process. Focusing on a single opponent made things much easier.
The DK patrols were more problematic, because I assumed 1-handed slashing skill was identical to 1-handed slashing with a shield--that skill didn't show up until significantly *after* I'd found a nice strength +1 shield. As a result, my DK wasn't getting any of the bonuses he should have, and I was wondering why the battles were so tough! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" />
I suspect action level might be too easy, but the gradient of difficulty has never been established, here.
