I'm in tactical and it doesn't appear too hard. Once I could, I immediately went to the battlefield and finished level one. The death knight patrols were pieces of cake when I got back.
BTW, my DK is 2-hand slash w/ heal, main character is survivor-bow. DK has good constitution, resists, and str, so minor heals keep him alive in all sorts of battles.
And I'd like to point out there are ffaarrrr too many regular arrows. My survivor right now has maybe 7000, and the weight is locked at 13... kinda cheap.
