I prefered the demos Death Knight voice
But the latest death knight voice is still bearable at least

They definitely shouldn't have postponed the game to redo the voices. They should have postponed it to find competent beta testers with some ability to find the obvious glaring bugs within the game. Then, they should have fixed the bugs.

Hi Dorito of Death

I was one of these "incompetent" testers.

1- Each tester tested a small part of the game.
For instance i tested the beginning of Act 2 without knowing Act 1 and without knowing the new skill system.
I found very few minor bugs.

2- Some parts of the game have been modified after the testing.

3- New changements have been implemented after the release of the demo due to the complains of the gamers.

4- The copy protection added a lot of mess.

It's easy to say that the testers were incompetent but it is not surprising.
I knew before the tests that we would be the target of such comments !

Next time (Divinity 2) go and test yourself, i am sure that this game will be absolutely bug free.

For the moment i don't have the game because i can't buy it in France and i can't play.
But i should be pleased to know all the bugs that have been found in the beginning of Act 2.

If you want you can send me a PM.

Barta

Barta, whilst I respect your efforts, I have experienced more broken quests than working ones and I haven't even finished act 1. The battlefield dungeon being empty is just one example: there are times when my characters say they are encumbered but have emtpy inventories, wrong dialogue being read out (it doesn't match the text on screen), music cutting off suddenly, the automap displaying black, sprites and 3D objects not lining up at higher resoultions, unable to complete quests (they remain active in the journal despite me having finished them), a seemingly completely useless skill (lockpicking), NPCs thinking I've completed quests when I haven't, and so on. I do not know who to blame, apart from I'm pretty certain SOMEONE should be held responsible, if this game were released on consoles where it is much harder to patch I'm sure it would have been withdrawn from shops by now.

Hi MrTeatime

As i have only played the demo i can't say that there is no bug in this game.
And i believe you when you say that there is a lot of bugs in Act 1.

But it is completely unfair TO INSULT the testers in several posts and in a whole topic "GET SOME DECENT QA TESTERS".

Maybe these bugs are the fault of "incompetent" testers, maybe not.
But you can't accuse people without knowing the reason of all the bugs.

When i will play the game i will be annoyed by the bugs as you.

Sacred has a lot of bugs too and there is already several patches for this game but it has not been withdrawn from shops.
Probably Sacred has been tested by the same persons than Beyond Divinity

I hope that Act 2, Act 3 and Act 4 have less bugs than Act 1 and that you could enjoy the game.

To get back on topic, I'm surprised the results are 50/50 (altho with only 20 voters). I really like the new voice. He sounds suitably rough, and emotional and mean and sarcastic when he needs to be. I also like that it has a slight echoey "Darth Vader" I'm talking through my helmet kind of sound. Very believable, and I think it has a positive effect on the game.

As mentioned before, the new DK voice does start to get better as you progress through the game. I'm near the end of Act 1 and he's definitely not as grating as before.

Both are annoying, but I think the new one is better. I don't think it's a problem with the voice acting, it's probably what Larian wanted...

I have to say I preferred the first. This new one sounds like Hulk Hogan or Jesse Ventura growling all the time.
Not that its a big deal though. The game is fun and challenging. Can't please everyone I guess.
