Yes, I read about it as well.
Seems to be a new major threat.
But even worse, the new "Phatbot" seems to be the ultimate challenge !
Fortunately it hasb't been released yet ...
Can somebody post a link about Phatbot in English, please ? I only know German texts about it.

my monitor is busted so i can't see anything on my computer as of today....

Currently I have, NO firewall and no Virus prtection and I have never gotten a virus before in 2 years :P

@Byblos, even if you don't click "yes" to some strange popup windows, sometimes the virus can install utself when just visiting a website. my point is, you don't even SEE anything happening while something can install itself in your system! And if you don't have a firewall, then the possiblity that someone fooling with your pc, by installing a trojan horse is pretty real. i suggest that you do an online virus&security scan first. http://security.symantec.com/sscv6/...amp;amp;close_parent=true&bhcp=1check for spyware : http://www.lavasoft.de/

I used ot make trojan horses, and I cannot get one form looking at larians site unless larian does it, correct? and if alls I do it go to MSN.com these forums and elderscrolls.com theres nothing that can happen?
and i have a spyware remover, as this is unavoidable :P

it has been reported that " if running a PC (particularly with cable & DSL)you will get a back door Trojan before you can install the security patches (presuming they weren't pre-installed Normal case scenario)and even though your system may be free of whatever on the moment I can guarantee that you will have a virus, active X control and or malware installed in the very short future, Not having any protection on your PC is irresponsible, because when you do get 1 (and you will) you only spread it around more. It is not a "macho" thing to say I don't have anything on my PC now so I don't need to protect it, it is just plain err I like to say stupid, but I don't want you to take that personal, so I wont <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> but it is not smart ! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />

Oh yeah IM being Macho. Did you ever try to think that maybe I have enough Hardware protection? ANd maybe nothing happens in my PC uless i ask it to? get your head out of the clouds. Ive had this PC for two years and because of my hardware Set up no imformation gets through the virues unless i request it. and the only information I request is from here and Elderscrolls forum.
