No, that Black Spider in the cave is not the one. Uncover the map along the wall that is between the entrance to the Mushroom section and the road that leads kinda North / NorthWest out of the Imp Village. You should run into it. Someone probably has a map that shows it, but I am not using maps for this runthrough.
