i did this in the demo & it worked. don't know if it will work in the full version.

put your party in stealth mode & have your mage selected. when u're in a room where there are enemies, just roll over your cursor till u 'find' one (u'll see his/her health bar). fire away. use your spells. i got away with it many many times in the demo as my mage won't go out of stealth mode. the only gripe is that u'll need a lot of potions to replenish your mana pool.
