When going through the forum I read a lot of stuff I never encountered.

ex: a quest from the doctor - something with the merchant - something about rum - something with the barrel of salt

Also there should be a 'parcours master', but I met only the 2 imps in the south-west corner of the big training hall.

Is this all because I didn't put on the light guard armor?

Yes, except for the coal/salt/sulfur part.
What I did was to put on the Guard Armor do all those quests. Then remove it and kill everyone <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/alien.gif" alt="" />

Dunkman - the DK warned you to disguise yourself - and maybe you overread General Bram's note on the table in the entrance room?

In disregarding this - you missed some quests and 2 skill books at least. Not to talk about the teachers...
