I need the locations of the act 1 BF keys, particularly the ones before the stone gargoyles(close to the imp who is sick and needs tooth). I am stuck at the gargoyles and I need to get to BF to level up some. if anyone will post a list I would appreciate it

I think the key you want is given to you by the imp when you successfully provide him and his ailing brother with the tooth. It's locked beneath a trapdoor which is otherwise unopenable.

really? I would have to shoot myself. All I found in that was a summoning doll (skelleton) and some gold.

No no.. you get the first summoning doll from the sick imp quest.

I'm pretty sure the very first BF key is in the chest in the hallway coming out of the prison area where you start the game. If you go back to the beginning, there's a lever that open the main door to the prison, rather than having to go through the hole again.

thanks for help Spect. I am a newb and don't know how to get there? Can I get to the 1st BF key if I have already dropped through the pit and landed on the haystack? Also, is it a chest on the same level as the talking skull and Fergus or is it on the 1st level of the game u start on?

The 1st level 1 BF key is in a chest in the cell block you started the game in, which is just north of Fergus' room. You can get back there, but not before getting through the maze, and passing the 2nd BF level 1 key.

Raze is correct. You have to go further on before you can get back to that area.

However, something I noticed in my game.. if you get the 2nd BF key, it should unlock both level 1 and 2 dungeons. Try that first insted of backtracking.

Given the issues in the recent patch though, I can't guarantee anything at this point, sorry.

Can I get the 2nd BF key without killing the gargoyles? If so, what am I supposed to do to get there (to the maze I mean)?

There are no gargoyles where the 2nd BF key is. you don't have to kill them.
