I am sooo tickled <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/biggrin.gif" alt="" /> It seems that the patch only took the pyramids in my old saves if they were in my inventory, so I starting looking for a save where both pyramids were on the ground. I found one and following the "lost item" process from Raze's above post and the inventory from that save, I have a working set of pyramids.
