One I can join and go up in ranks etc.
If not, which guild fits a mage the best?

There is an assassin and archer guild which you can not join, and merchant, thief and warrior guilds which you can (all 3, if you wish). You can get a quest or 2 in the guilds that you can join, but there is no ranking system.

sorry no mages guild. what do you think this is, Runescape? i never really liked mages. i'm a warrior.

But you know having a mages guild would make sense,after all warriors and rogues get one so why cant mages?

Plus it makes sense,all wizrads in DD get trianed there and wizards are a race.

you can pick skills that most mages would learn like lighting or hellspikes even meteor
