back to morrowind. If you had said kotor or TTOEE I could have understood but morrowind Jesus you have no taste. I've played Morrowind till the end but it felt more like a job then fun. I stopped just before the last dungeon because I couldn't take it anymore even ultima IX is better.

Morrowind is great!!! TTOEE? You can't be serious. There are only 2 RPGs that I couldn't finish because they were so terrible and TTOEE is one of them. Although it did have some good points.

Then again I was using a piece of string and a marshmallow, which would at least explain the duration if nothing else.

Thor, that's your opinion, fair enough, we can't please everybody with what we develop. Who can?...
But there's no reason to insult other people who do love the game.
And maybe next time write why you don't like the game. It's so easy to criticize without giving the critiques.

I have never played Morrowind. I hit this thread to try to glean information about it. Instead I found a insulting slam on Larian! ( Lynn, sometimes you are to kind!) Thor, constantly you have nothing good to say about anything! You should be ashamed of yourself! I think if you had a good game shoved up your bum, you would not recognize it! Do you hate because it is to complex for your narrow adolecent mind? Are there to many options for you?
Have you ever played a real RPG befor? I doubt it.
Our Larians made this game for us. We asked them for it. They have spent alot of money and alot of time on it and are constantly working to make it better. Their kindness and attention as a development team is one that all other developers should model themselves after. On a personal note. I am sick and tired after months of reading nothing but negetivity from you. Obviously, others are also. I think you should take your crap spam somewhere else, and leave us in peace. That is my reveiw of you, Thor! Goodbye!

Agreed, Morrowind is the worst RPG I've played in the last few years (and I play quite a few), although it did have some stiff competition in Lionheart. Both of those games felt like jobs by about halfway through.

You must mean Morrowind's poor NPC dialog options, and their generally dull writing. Great world, though. TOEE was far worse, however. Pretty looking game, but with half its combat options broken when it came out, quests that seemed to be put in as an afterthought, and writing clearly done by a 8-year-old.

Couldn't agree more. Then there's the hit-and-miss voiceacting, the opening vignettes that are really a waste of time (good idea, bad execution), and the bugs.

Morrowind was great, except for the combat. I only played through it because I had fun exploring! That's why I played , too.

TOEE was amazingly boring, so I barely played any of that.

Lionheart... sigh. Well, even after the terrible demo, I bought it first day and played some of it until my hard drive failed and I had to format. Never reinstalled it, never will. I guess I only bought it because I respect Black Isle. Or respected, I guess. RIP.

I guess my favorite types of rpgs were Infinity engine games other than Lionheart. Icewind Dale 1+2 were spectacular and Planescape: Torment is still my all-time favorite game in every aspect imaginable.

Pretty remarkable in a released game, wasn't it? I think it was probably buggier even than Ultima IX, except that many of the bugs were more subtle--like the inability for my mage to cast the three level 0 zero spells he had available except on the day when he leveled. I was astonished that something like that had ever made it out. Reviewed the thing for GameBanshee, much to the hatred of a small clique of TOEE lovers who claimed it was the finest thing since BG1. But with all the revelations of bugs and the constant number of people complaining about the game, they've faded back into the woodwork.

Maybe we should move this thread to RPG chat??

And yes, Thor, I thought you were improving but that immature little outburst just puts you back to the 'pathetic little tosser' rank I had you at before.
